Federer blasts away Tsonga to reach Australian Open final
Roger Federer made short work of Jo Wilfried Tsonga to reach the final of the 2010 Australian Open on Friday.
The world number one needed just three sets to end Tsonga's challenge, as the young Frenchman found himself hopelessly outclassed in Melbourne. Federer wasn't broken once as he swept Tsonga aside 6-2, 6-3, 6-3.
Federer will now face Andy Murray in the final of the 2010 Australian Open. The match will serve as a replay of the 2008 US Open final, where Federer won with straight sets. The match will mark the 11th meeting between these two players.
Federer has now made 18 finals out of the last 19 grand slam tournaments. Federer will now have played in 22 grand slam finals during his career.
