Getting to the Venue

In an effort to make Australian Open travel as easy as possible we have listed information on all the modes of transport to the Melbourne and Olympic Park Precinct. Buses, trams and trains operate regularly and virtually drop you off right at the door of the venue.

Trams – The Rod Laver and Vodafone Arenas are serviced by the no.70 tram, which departs from Flinders Street to Wattle Park. Trams from Richmond station will also ferry you to the venue.

Buses – Buses traveling down Punt Road will stop at the corner of Olympic Boulevard and from there it is a mere 500m walk to Vodafone Arena, Rod Laver Arena and Olympic Park Stadium. Take the no.605 bus from the City to Gardenvale.

Water Taxis – The Melbourne Water Taxis can accommodate as many as 12 people, but have to be pre-booked. They operate on the Yarra River seven days per week and drop passengers at the docking platform opposite the Rod Laver Arena. Trains – Flinders Street, Richmond and Jolimont train stations are all within walking distance of the venue and make Australian Open travel a pleasure!
